Why, many of them, met, at nieghborhood dances, barn dances, churches, grange meetings, small town schools. I went to some small town schools, but did not date. I was too shy, and afraid of girls, then, and, with all the strife, in my family, had no confidence, then! I read, and watch hisorical documentaries, abd see, a FAR different America, today. Mother Teresa, visiting America, commented, that Americans are the most lonely people! Maybe we have too many choices. Maybe we can't see the forest for the trees. Maybe our great materialism, and success, has BLINDED us, from the true values. Maybe we are, mostly, a nation of spoiled brats, that modernity, has removed our souls from us. Maybe, the Amish, and earlier generations, had something deep, that our generations, have lost. Just some comments, from a tall guy, who grew up, in the country, lives in the big bad cities of Seattle/Tacoma. 2tallgary
