"Revelations of a Single Woman....loving the life I didn't expect" By Connally Gilliam.
Not just for women only, it seems to address the broader issue of what it's like to live with an unfulfilled expectation. She calls herself "unintentionally single". I picked up the book last weekend and have found it an interesting read. Could relate to what she said a lot!

My two favorite books for singles are "Boy Meets Girl" by Joshua Harris & "Choosing God's Best" by Dr. Rauniker. The first book builds on Harris' first bestseller, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," which is a great start if you are open to a new approach to romance that puts friendship first in a way that can survive if romance doesn't, and without so much pain.
A central message in "Choosing God's Best" is to first BE your best, being easier while single to work on getting healthier emotionally, physically, financially & spiritually. It teaches pursuing a balanced life that includes making strong friends (especially with the same sex that you will trust to tell you the truth) and community service (getting your eyes off yourself).
Both books give great advice about balancing emotion & wisdom as we get excited about someone, what are good boundaries & checking for sufficient long term compatibility.
